Immersive Theater
& Live Performances in XR

In 2023, Less Media Group successfully hosted the second edition of its immersive educational program, dedicated to Immersive Theater and Live Performances in the Metaverse.
The program brought together 18 artists from 10 different countries, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the cutting edge of live performances in XR environments.

Participants were given exclusive access to some
of the best live performances in social VR platforms, including award-winning productions such
as "Welcome to Respite" and "Gumball Dreams"
by Ferryman Collective, "Alien Rescue" by the Metamovie team, the Fatboy Slim concert in ENGAGE XR, and the Japanese performance "Typeman"
by Cinema Leap in VRChat.
Guided by a roster of international tutors—industry-leading experts and artists from France, Japan, the USA, South Africa, and beyond—students gained in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with social XR platforms, preparing them to create the next generation of immersive performances.

This program solidified Less Media Group’s commitment to nurturing global talent and pushing the boundaries of immersive theater in virtual environments.
By tradition, each participant had the chance to present their own concept for an immersive project. Seven of these ideas were later pitched during an online virtual event on the ENGAGE XR platform, where international guests, tutors, and industry experts came together to meet, mingle, and exchange ideas.

This virtual pitch event, held on the ENGAGE platform, once again proved to be a vital stepping stone in helping artists prepare their projects for future development.

The event created a dynamic space for creative collaboration, and at least two of the projects pitched during the session continued development into 2024, demonstrating the program’s ongoing impact in fostering innovation and growth in immersive space.
Virtual worlds, performances, shows - it was truly inspiring.
In VR, you are not just a spectator but a meaningful participant.
Anastasia Kraynyuk, 3D-artist and animator
I still have much to explore in this environment, thanks to the course. I have a long list of things I want to dive into.
